Placed an order for a Savage Mark II bolt action in 22LR for my son.

Backordered everywhere. Sportsman's Warehouse has them in a camo stock but we want black. Went with LGS to support him anyways, no rush.

It's the exact gun my son wlll have to use to qualify for his Rifle Merit Badge at summer camp in the future, so he might as well practice on the same rifle they use.

    Let's see...
    There's your average gun owner.
    Then we have gun nuts.
    Then gun enthusiasts.
    Then the obsession with guns.
Then there is a level that should be called 'Cruzans'.

Most were lost in boating accident and sold at those crazy gun shows with the massive loopholes there. But I still kept a few revolvers and lever actions

Like in Spaceballs when they go past ludicrous speed to plaid.

I*m probably somewhere between your enthusiast and obsession level though it*s 80% old milsurps.

I bought myself a new holster so I mounted my old Serpa in my SxS like this:

Within easy reach and won't bash any knees right there.

Wanted to get a speedloader for my S&W PC 327 and stumbled upon "Speedbeez" while searching - had never heard of them. A little pricey for a speedloader but they are extremely nice! Much smoother and easier to use that regular speedloader. Got the kydex holster for it while I was at it. I like.

I owned a couple of these. They're nice for basic range stuff, but for competition or self defense or anything where speed is required, they're not great. They have a tendency to splay the rounds apart, so if you don't have them lined up perfectly, you have to fiddle to get it to go in. I stick to HKS and Safariland speed loaders for my S&W revolvers.

The best speed loader ever made is the S.L. Variant. Each round is held under its own inidividual spring pressure. Nothing flops around, and the release so smooth that it makes reloads fast and easy. Unfortunately, I don't think they're being made in Germany anymore, and the one place that imported them hasn't had any for several years. Only place I've seen them is ebay, and they're selling for $100+ each. I was lucky enough to score a few for my GP100 and SP101 many moons ago.
