Have had some GI .45acp that had a cannelure….thought pretty much that would help in bullet set-back rackin' the slide...

I should find out soon if I drew a cow elk tag for Wyoming.
It would be my first trip to try my luck.
I've gotten my Savage .300 win mag within 1 to 2 inch groups at 200 yards and have yet to practice with the taller bipod.
I told my wife I might need to get a bear self defense gun because my Ruger Redhawk is a heavy SOB and only 6 rounds.

She said something to the effect of "Oh yes my darling, the love of my life and we rarely spend enough time together. A trip for you out west for a month or two would be difficult for me to take. Please, Oh, please go to Ace Sporting Goods and get yourself that Glock 20 you firmly believe, although probably undergunned, might save your life."

So, after that heartfelt discussion, I did as she directed me to do after calling them repeatedly for two weeks prior just to ensure one was still in the case.

So, After I bought the pistol, some Sierra Matchking 175s for my PA10, some Hornady 3031 150 grainers for my 03A3, a pound of powder and a box of generic 10mm plinking rounds, I had a shit eating grin all the way home.

I had already ordered some 10mm Underwood 200 gr hardcast bullets, some Doubletaps in 220 gr hardcast anticipating the love of my life would be OK with my decision.

Then, out of the clear blue, she said she would buy all that for me.

I almost fell over and told her I would fix her toilet next time for half price.

Higher than online but I wanted to pick up from a local shop to support him.
