Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I have a bunch of Glocks and won*t mod them beyond changing sights. I checked one out at a local shop and liked everything about it. It makes more sense to get one of these vs modding a Glock. What I really like is the optic cut, direct mount with no adapter plates. The trigger imo is really nice as well, it*s not to light but breaks clean.

Picked up this Ruger P85 off of Tanners' GB page. Came with the box and two mags. Might use it for two gun competition if I ever decide to make up a '80s/'90s crime loadout lol

Nice Ruger. I have one and it's been a great pistol for me. If you are interested, there is a recall on some of them made between certain years. Apparently Ruger will send you a free magazine when they send it back. Link here: https://ruger.com/P85Recall/index.html

I just ordered a Henry steel .44 mag rifle, a medium large loop lever and a rail / ring combo.
3 to 6 mo lead so no pic yet.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Not an auction, The FoNRA event I go to (held in Morrisdale, right near Philipsburg) you can buy ticket packs ($100 each, 13 tickets 4 different colors) and put your tickets in corresponding buckets by the different guns. This is were I won mine. This event, this "game" gives away 13 different guns. They also have different raffles (buy a knife for $20 get a raffle ticket for your choice of two different guns, or buy a $20 raffle ticket for your choice of a gun off the "Wall of Guns" (about 25 to choose from). They always have about 4-5 different side raffles.
Different FoNRA events do things a bit differently but they all have both a silent auction and a live auction (which does have guns). This live auction (because of how much money was raised in the past) had a specially engraved stainless Python that ended up going for $2200 (actually that's pretty cheap for that gun, it should have gone for closer to 3K). I didn't bid on it and I should have, I probably could have got it for 2300 and then sold it and made money.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member
