Found this Beretta 81 .32ACP at Grices for $250. It looks like it was someone's truck gun that happened to fall onto a highway at 60mph. But I believe I can clean it up and refinish it. Yeah, it has some ugly to it, but they are hard to find. The gun is tight, minimal slide rail wear, springs still tough. I think it was carried/hauled more than ever fired.

It helps get the Beretta collection one step closer to complete. Got an Inox 92FS, 21A Bobcat .25ACP. Just need a Jetfire, Tomcat, and 84.
I don't think it looks bad at all, congrats! Just a few rust freckles that will clean up.

They are really sweet shooters. Great for new shooters to learn after some rimfire experience. And great for recoil shy shooters.

Looks like one of the rougher 81s that were imported a few years ago out of the Italian prison system. Some were better than others.

I carry a Smith and Wesson Model 642 in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster from time to time. I hit the Great American Outdoor Show today in Harrisburg and picked up a Sticky Holster for said Model 642. All I can say is that this holster is STICKY. I am going to try it out and see how it does. 20 bucks out the door...

    Nice. I like it.

Is that your "go to" that you showed us in that "Are you ready" thread from a while back? I saved that page (home laptop, not at home now) as a reference - want to do a project just like it someday. I like it even more now! Looks extremely "packoutable."

I believe you are correct. PW Arms imported it. Some featured in some Youtube vids had same import mark, and said the same about the Italian prison.

The receiver is in good shape on mine, just a few wear marks that some Aluminum Black will fix quite easily.

The slide though, it is ugly in real life. Starboard side has some really rough edge erosion. All the little rust pits will buff out, but that edge erosion may require milling(then milling the other side to make it match) - but we'll see once I strip it. I'm pretty sure I can make it look like new.

I have this one at the ready. Its nice and compact (10.5" barrel). Folded its 21" long. Its a SBR.
I'm going to do one in 9mm, (4" barrel) just waiting for my upper to arrive.
