Had been fired a lot, but the store has a nice range attached and the clerk said every employee fired five rds of 115 gr ball b/c being 30-35 yrs +/-, none of them had ever owned a BHP or fired a BHP before. He said there were no failures of any kind. I said that I consider it to be used. He asked if I was paying with CC or cash, and I said cash. "How's $699 OTD sound?" (the tag said $699). So I took it.

The trigger pull is a tad heavy, felt like ~6 lbs +/-, but it broke like a glass rod and when it did the sights didn't budge.

He also said, any problems bring it back. Also, this guy was amazed that 15 rds fit in the mag, which fits in that size of grip. "It's a really nice pistol," he said. "Shame the BHP never was all that popular in the US."

Youngstah. <shaking head> If you only knew.

Hoping the price will come back down to somewhat reasonable again.

Picked up this Kel-Tec RDB a few days ago at Tanner's on a whim because why the hell not. It looks cool and I already have an AR set up the way I want it for "serious" stuff. Went back to Tanner's today to pick up an optic for the RDB, and though a new EoTech was $460, this HK VP9 was $499 used. So the VP9 came home with me.

The RDB is a fun gun to shoot, provided there are no issues. Mine had a bad charging handle assembly that came apart after a couple of mags. Sent it back to KT and they fixed it and sent it back in a week. Haven't had a chance to shoot it, though. I have both a Primary Arms 1-8 ACSS scope and an SLx 1x microprism scope for it. Not sure which is going to sit permanently on top.

Check out Lucky Irishman if you want a slimmer, better feeling, M-lok forearm. A bit pricey, but totally worth it, IMO. Also, their extended bolt release is a must have. I have one on each side, so Mrs Ronin can use it too. Haga Defense makes a great Flared Magwell and extended safety selectors. Not necessary, but they do improve their respective areas.

Not a thing. Went to Bass Pro Shop to get a 1911 .45 and they were out. No Blackhawks.
