Let us know how that goes. Hopefully, very well.
I don't have a load worked for the Tikka yet.
Once I get something decent at 300, I may have access to a farm that the owner shoots 500..
This scope was going to go on my Savage for now. I moved the VX5HD onto the Tikka.
I need to shoot more but think I can walk the 300 yards pretty well now.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
I've always wanted a Randall but have never been able to justify the price.
...Finally realized I don't have to justify anything to anyone!
This one was presented to a guy in 1980 who wore it for a brief while then put it in a display case for the last 40 years. His son wanted to sell it so I made an offer. (Price was noticeably better than most that have caught my eye.)
It's a Model 23 "Gamemaster" in an "Andy Thornal Special" sheath tooled by Maurice Johnson.
Such things apparently mean something to some collectors, but I'm planning to polish it up, sharpen it the way God intended it to be, then wear it hunting.
It's a pretty tool, but a tool nonetheless, and it deserves a life outside the case.
