Re: What did you buy yourself today (Photo thread)...
Newbie to the forum here, I feel like I picked the right year to start getting involved in firearms again this past six months or so. Once upon a time I about 10+ years back had an old Yugo M59/66 SKS (which I WISH I hadn't sold years back now, great little rifle), and Walther P22. Older me in 2020 started out again by picking up one of the Canik TP9SFX 9mm pistols, which I've run about a hundred rounds or so through now, shoots like a dream for something so cheap, though I might end up going back for one of the shorter models for an EDC gun.
Beyond that, wanted a .22 for plinking cheaper ammo and keeping my hand in during the mess this year has been, so I gave that Winchester Wildcat a try... still waiting to go out with that one between the cold and the fact I didn't get a chance to join any of the local gun clubs around South Central PA before this all hit.. they're pretty much all waiting for things to blow over before accepting new members, so my only options are the local federal game lands public range out in the cold, or blowing a LOOOOOT of cash at the small handful of shops with ranges nearby.
Decided last week here to pick up a Charles Daly N4S semiauto 12ga shotty despite the major bias against bullpup models everyone seems to have just about everywhere I've looked for advice. Reviews looked fairly solid, at least not negative as far as bullpup shotgun designs go. Not going to lie, I'm highly tempted to Bubba on one of the Promag 20 round drums, except I suspect they're every bit as bad at feeding as they sound. At the very least the 10 round ones Daly suggested ought to be solid, and if I can't put something down with 10+1 of 12ga, then I feel like I probably shouldn't be shooting in the first place.

There were 15 HK USP 40's up for sale on Gunbroker this morning. In the bidding frenzy, I accidentally bought two. If anybody is interested in an inexpensive USP, I'm your huckleberry.
