    Some accessories.

Received my Gadsden & Culpeper order, two flags (one Confederate) and a patch.

Also scored a like-new Jansport backpacking bag with frame from CL for $30.

    If I make it, yes.

Some buddies (fellow Scout dads) are talking about schedulng a November backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail with the boys, but yeah, one way or another I'm wearing it in November.

I can't believe the condition, it's like new. They're going for $70-150 on eBay.

The old lady that sold it to me said she can't make use of it anymore. She had a Yosemite Park shirt on.

That's kinda crazy, when you can get a halfway decent modern pack that's half the weight for @$100. Makes me want to see if my old one is in storage at my parents place still though.

Not being snobish as much as nostalgic. I loved mine back when I used it. I wouldn't trade either of my packs now for one, but still kinda cool.

I'll buy it from you for $30.

If this is considered heavy then new ones must be feather weight. It doesn't feel the slightest bit heavy.

You're also forgetting my clothes weight about half of the normal-sized man's clothes. Dwarfism has benefits.

    Lmao

    True

I don't remember the weight of those anymore, I'll have to look it up. My summer pack weighs @ 30oz, my winter is a hair over 3lbs.

Edit: looking it upe, they're not quite as heavy as I remember. Right around 4lbs.

Just put it on my son when he came home from school and he said "wow, it's so light. It looked like it would be heavier."

The old lady was so slim, the straps are too tight for not only me, but him too.
