My upper/lower/handguard was suppose to be delivered to the shop today, and I was excited to get to build my AR pistol out of the collection of parts above, but I get up and see that the package is being held at the post office. Turns out the shop is closed for the ENTIRE week. I wont be able to get it until next tuesday

New chassis for the 10/22 Takedown. I like that is holds a couple 10rd mags in the stock.
I've been having reliability problems with BX25 mags (have mods to do) so figured I'd try a couple 15-rounders just to see how they work.
And a couple new kinds of .22lr to test.

I've had reliability problems with both my BX-25 and BX-15. I did the 22 shell case mod and after one run they settled down. If you have some spent 22 shorts just drop them over the follower to spring pin. If all you have is spent 22 LR's then you need to cut them down which I did with my Dremel.

I find I really have to only load them to about 22-23 rounds, otherwise the bolt won't strip rounds reliably and the bullet stack is too tight. Maybe when the springs loosen up a bit it will correct itself.

Finally broke down and bought a halfway decent tripod for spotting/shooting off of. Grabbing a ball head off another shooter and I will be good to go.
