150 grain? Do the foot/pounds work out about the same at subsonic speeds? It will be interesting to hear how that works in semi auto handguns with shorter barrels. Please keep us posted!

Made an appointment at Tanner's, was able to get in today, and picked up a new Ruger MK IV tactical. I'm going to be setting this up with a micro red dot to try and start getting myself into some plate shooting matches, if the ranges ever open again...

Not me but my 81 year old dad. He bought his first pistol.

He tells me he wants a double stack 9, so I brought a few over for him to check out, and gave him some advice.

Then unbeknownst to me, he picked himself up a Beretta 92X. I was a bit surprised by that choice but it's a pretty good one. He's always been a bit of a pistol fudd. He's been into guns his whole life but not really pistols.

He carried a .45 in the army and has an affinity for them, and also P38's. He likes shooting mine at the range, but never saw the need to own one for himself. He's mostly a shotgun guy and .30 cal US rifles.

Now he can't wait to shoot it, he's like a kid with his first bike. Hopefully, we'll be at the range trying it out tomorrow.

Awesome! The 92Xs are so cheap for what you get and they shoot like a dream. You'll both be very pleased.
