m-38 turks were imported in the early 2000's, they sold for a whopping $39.95, with turk ammo being around $4.50/70 rounds (on stripper clips) Turkey was neutral in the war so they don't have much historic significance and really haven't developed that much value (around $150 now). Generally they are more of a pattern than a model, you will see many minor variations in barrel bands, brass or steel parts, cleaning rod type, small ring/large ring barrels, etc. Matching bolts are also incredibly uncommon.

So instead I picked up a CZ52 w/some ammo included, a $205 OTD Ruger, $5 boxes of 8mm, an LCP mag, 130 pcs of .357 brass, and from a guy looking to dump inventory at his small shop, two boxes of bullets and a pound of powder for $60.
I got a lead on an SKS "paratrooper", still NIB and a dozen Chinese flatback mags.
Today I got in free so only a couple bucks in gas...

Who says gun shows have no deals?
Dam fine day for you. Too bad we are so far away. I would give you $210 for the Ruger.
    Some people just plain suck.

Just curious, what did the guy want for the Bubba Battle rifle? I'm not interested in buying it though.

    $200
It had no bayonet and the stock was so crappy I didn't even see $200 in parts value.

It was on the table of a local guy whose sister was also there selling jewelry.
My girls were looking at the jewelry and I just casually picked it up because another seller had some P89's for $250.
The guy says $225 and it's yours.
I jokingly said $200 out the door and I'll take it.
He said $205 to cover the PICS and done.
How could I pass that up?

Another guy had a Beretta 92S that had to be dead nuts brand new old stock.
    Cleanest one I've ever saw.
I was headed over to see what I could get him down to on it but this thing ruined that, I won't run to an ATM once I'm at a show, I set my limit by only bringing what I'm willing to spend.

Just to add to my weekend gun show experience, I felt bad for the guy who bought the "original" Winchester 30Carbine from a seller.
It was priced at $1300, I don't know what the guy paid for it but he sure was proud of showing it off to anyone who would listen.

    It wasn't original...

You've caught more good deals at a single gun show then the rest of the board has in all of 2017. I think that's proof that the gun shows or your way are not the same as they are on the eastern edge. Good to see that

Winchester receiver but the stock was a later replacement, incorrect rear sight...

It was a $850 shooter at most imo.
