Dunhams is coming!!!

I was at the Harrisburg Dunhams this afternoon,all the guns and cases had been removed. When I asked what happened,I was told the Harrisburg store is closing and that all the guns had been sent back to the distribution center.

THEN I was told that Dunhams will be opening a store in/around Lebanon in late Spring or early Summer. If the new place sells the same stuff,that'll put a nice little Mosin outlet about 10 minutes from my house. This could be bad!!

Whaddaya think, out by Home Depot, or old Ames location at the mall? Any other ideas?

why would they close the store closest to a larger population center, only to open one in a run down town like lebanon?

not that i'm complaining, it sounds like a neat place to have near by.

Maybe they figured Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg were too close together and wanted to spread out? Lebanon isn't a bad idea, it'll bring people from points east, and North Lancaster.

did'nt know there were two that close to each other.
lebanon could "use" a place like that, as there are none like it in the area. only a few smaller mom&pop places around anymore.

Yeah, they have stores in Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Hanover and Chambersburg. Those are ones I've been to. Gun selection isn't what it once was, but keep an eye out for sales. Oh, I forgot about Carlisle.

the stores around here are dives and I would guess don't do a lot of business.

They're definitely not high end, but they have milsurp rifles, 'nuf said.

Dunhams update: I stopped at the Mechanicsburg store today, it's gone. Sign on the door says they lost their lease.

Harrisburg has Bass Pro, Dicks, and what else?
Lebanon has the home town gun shops. Less competition here from the other big guys?

Just my guess, who really knows what goes into corporate decisions?
