Any use for ban-era 10 round G17 mags?
Have a couple that came with the gun (which I promptly supplemented with "pre-ban" full cap mags).
Do they have any use other than paper weights.

Spray paint one a different color, load it with snap caps, use it for practice. I'd love to get my hands on one or two more for cheap!

Use them for training/practice mags or IDPA mags.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

They work don't they? Use them at the range.
I bought a 19 once that came with 10 or so ten rounders. I certainly didn't mind having extras.Selling off a a sizeable Spyderco collection here

Keep them and put them with your others. When the SHTF, a trunk load of magazines won't be enough, but at least we can go out fighting.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

They are good for IDPA or USPSA production mags. Just fill them up, no counting.

Re: Any use for ban-era 10 round G17 mags?
I use them at the range, and keep them loaded for a SHTF time. Since they came with a gun when at the time of purchase I couldn't see any reason to get rid of them. They work, and at the range sometimes I only want to load a few rounds - so a full capacity mag isn't needed.

I really dont know how those mags are assembled but can you tear them apart change the guts and make them full cap mags ?
