List Gun manufactures with Life Time warranties.

I would like to get a thread going that lists all the gun companies that have Life Time warranties on their products.

It would be great for people to mention the quality of customer service if they have any first hand experience. I think it would be helpful for future reference to give a simple rating of: Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, Bad

Here is my list of guns I own that have a life time warranty.

Hi Point - Excellent Customer Service.
Keltec - Fair customer service
Taurus - poor customer service.

Could you please describe the bad experience you had with Taurus? All of the one's I've read online were pretty positive when it came to warranty repairs/replacement.

I bought a new Taurus PT 1911 that needed the slide lock replaced because it would not lock open consistently on the last shot. It took over two months for them to mail it after repeated calls.

I needed a screw for the rear-sight adjustment on my Model 84 revolver. It is a weird hex screw that is hard to find and Taurus said the Life time warranty does not apply to the sights, even though the came with the revolver. The service tech made a snobby remark that I should not expect it to apply to a gun that is 15 years old. They would not send me the damn screw and said I would have to pay $50 for the whole rear sight assembly. That pissed me off. I eventually did find a hex screw that fit. I refused to pay the $50.

I like their guns, but the experience I had with customer service got under my skin.

Springfield Armory, Stag Arms, Armalite, H&K, Sig (Sig has one year warranty on certified used where Taurus is lifetime, no matter what) Glock. (if Glock cannot fix your gun for whatever reason, they will send you a new one, something Taurus does not like to do).Some manufactures will fix your gun as long as you own it if it is determined to be defective in some way or a safety issue. Colt, Remington, Marlin, and S&W are some just to name a few.

Remington has sent me parts for a 700 and a 770, free of charge, after the warranty expired. S&W timed a cylinder for a friend of mine that was FOC except for shipping, and it was way out of warranty. Never had a bad experience with Taurus, though the two repairs I needed took about six weeks. I always add seven days to what I think should be a proper response time and Taurus let me know they had my merchandise well before that. Both times, they were two weeks early on the repairs (they said approx. 8 weeks).

You forgot Smith & Wesson. They also have good customer service.

I have a Para-Ordinace 1911 LTC in 9mm that has a lifetime warranty.

My new Just Right Carbine 9mm has a lifetime warranty, although it is a new company.

STAG has a lifetime transferable warranty as well. I think the transferable part is important.

Taurus automatics are SH*T. I love their revolvers, but their PT1911 was a gigantic TURD for me. The freakin bluing on the slide started flaking off after 100 rounds. The slide itself wasn't aligned properly, etc.

Hk's have a lifetime warranty.

agree will never own a taurus auto, but some of their revolvers and a good alternative to the higher end models they clone.
