Default 1911 Grip Bushings - Where to find?

Where can I find 1 stainless 1911 grip bushing? I had a little accident with one on my new Colt Delta. It was stuck in the old rubber grips and I had to use needle nose pliers to get it loose. Needless to say, I egg shaped the bushing and it wont thread back into the frame the whole way. I definitely don't want to force it! I just need 1!

Let me rephrase the question...where can I find just 1 bushing? I have no need for a set of them.

I have seen them on ebay. But Brownells should have them.

When I got back into guns I would order extra parts from Brownels. Springs, firing pins, extractors and such. But the collection has expanded a whole lot and I got away from doing this. I should start again.

Brownells, midwayUSA, Natchez should all carry the grip bushings. In fact if you go to Brownells you can request their catalog that is specifically for 1911 parts, all 1911, all the time.

I've never sooked for a single bushing, but have bought a couple of sets from distributors listed earlier. Are you reall sure you won't ever screw up another one? I you ever screw up another one, shipping alone will make up the cost of a set vs two individual bushings....

    Go for the whole hog.

Yeah, I guess I can stock a few extras...I just have a bad habit of not remembering where I store things! LOL

I sympathize. If I could find all the "extras" I have, I probably wouldn't need to buy half what I order.

Brownells has 'em in their catalog for $7.99 in stainless -- made by EGW right in Pennsylvania.

When you install them, use a drop of blue Loctite on the bushing threads. Not the grip screws, the bushings.

I did use a drop of blue per bushing. The new one went right in...I was hoping that I didn't mess up the threads or something but it was just a egg shaped bushing giving me grief. She looks great now!
