Last night it was finally cool enough to drag the decoys & gear out of the garage attic. My boy & I are heading out this weekend to our spot to make sure everything is good to go. Then I'll take him to the range to bust some more clays. I'm taking that Thursday thru the 9th off from work to get some 'me' time in. I need that right about now.

Sooooo...who else is getting excited that Sept. 1st is right around the corner?

Oh...it's addicting. You get so much shooting in it's literally a blast. I just took it up a few years ago, still can't call them worth a shit but I'm learning. The wife hates it when I practice in the house...on the other hand the kids love it. They'll get their other calls out until it sounds like the wild kindom and she finally makes us all stop. It also helps to have a buddy who can call in anything and tell you what it is when all you see is a black dot in the sky.

Been out a few times, but without someone who knows where to go and how to call we never do real well. Would love to learn from someone sometime. It's the only type of hunting I'm not confident in.

Me! Trying it for the first time. Booked an opening day goose hunt with an outfitter. First time waterfowl and really looking forward to it.
