Re: Pre season trail cams
moultrie, and bushnell are the cheaper $100-200 range, and they do work. I would probably go with the moultrie. Reconyx cameras are in the $500 range, that is what the pro's use. Even if you have the $500 to drop don't. In todays crowded world there is always a chance that it gets stolen and thats a waste of $500.

You've got some nice pics there. The hunting should be good for you this year.
Good luck, stay safe.

Re: Pre season trail cams
Actually these pictures are from other people I don't own one of these cameras, 5 kids and bills up to the you know what. Maybe santa will bring me one in the winter. Seems I always need a extra treestand, broadheads or ammo instead of investing in one of these, I just love seeing these pictures. I do hunt in the same areas of these monsters Lord willing I or my 3 boys will capitalize on a monster. I have a 14,12,10 year olds hunting this year it will be a challenge. I'm still debating in my head on how to get 2 yutes and a 6'3 275lbs guy in a double tree stand.

Re: Pre season trail cams
Just picked up a new camera, wildgame innovations on sale at Dicks for $59.00 put in the back yard for now to try it out, then in a couple of weeks when I go up state I will put in place near my tree stand.
I will post some pics later as I have three bucks that travel behind my house, a nice 8 and a 6, also a small 4.

Re: Pre season trail cams
Ivv had mine setup in my backyard archery spot for the past week. 1600+ pictures already. 4 doe, 3 fawns, a very small rack 8 point, a medium sized 8, and a large 9 point. The anticipation of waiting till October is killing me. I'll have pictures available when I get my damn computer working again.
Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Re: Pre season trail cams
Does anyone in the State College area have one I can borrow for a few days? I need to figure out which one of my cats has started peeing at the bottom of my basement steps.
