Re: Good Gun Shops?
I haven't been in Army Navy for quite some time. I needed 9mm ammo and since AN is within 10 minutes of my house I figured I'd try there.
First, the customer service was exactly what I would expect from any store. They answered my questions without hesitation or attitude and were polite.
I even talked to another customer who was thinking about purchasing an LCP.
I bought 4 boxes of Federal range ammo for cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. Overall, I'll definitely go there again, unless or until I may have any issues with them.

Re: Good Gun Shops?
I saw that a person here or there mentioned Eagle Arms but didn't say much about it. I am in no way an expert or have tons of experience buying, but when I was looking I stopped there because it was on the way to school for me. Everyone there was always friendly and shared their opinion and advice about what i was looking at (9mm vs. .40 cal). I chose the G23. They didn't have it in stock and asked me what i was looking to spend. I said around $500 and he offered $480. It seemed very fair to me, so I had him order it and pickedit up shortly after. So thumbs up on Eagle Arms (rt 222) for me.

Re: Good Gun Shops?
I was in the golden trigger and boyers as well today. Both were very friendly and accommodating to my questions and requests! I tried precision as well, but it was closed.

Re: Good Gun Shops?
Heritage Guild in Easton isn't too bad. Also Lehigh Valley Guns and Ammo in Allentown isn't bad either.

Re: Good Gun Shops?
I totally agree. Went to A-N to look at a Glock 27. Guys behind the counter acted as if I was bothering them when I asked to see one. Went in for ammo another time and was ignored while they yakked. Third and final time I will ever go there, different guy says they don't have any used SKS with two sitting in the rack, highly over-priced to boot.

I will follow this up too. I won't ever give AN any of my money ever again, and I've purchased two pistols from them in the past plus countless other stuff. I've grown up in the Lehigh Valley and they use to be an institution, an amazing place to visit, along with Nestors. When I was a kid, those two stores were a GREAT weekend trip for me.
Their knife selection is pitiful, and in most cases, double Amazon prices. None of the staff want to talk to you. The guys behind the gun cases, I've had better conversations with my dog than any of these guys. Totally worthless, and heavens forbid you actually need a question answered and break up their conversations to do so.
I give almost all of my business to The Handgunner now, in Topton. Small shop, always willing to talk to you and no one judges you. Purchased and transferred guns there, always a good experience. I only wish they'd actually get with the times and realize it's 2013 and get a website!
