emf dakota .357 sa
got my hands on one but it needs a minor repair. this gun has the hammer with a safety. unfortunately this mechanism is missing. anybody know anything about these guns? quality, reliability ect. looks like it might be a fun shooter. also this is not the newer dakota 2 type. i could forgo the safety type hammer if one of the non safety type hammers would work. any suggestions?

Re: emf dakota .357 sa
I had a Dakota years ago. The safety gaget on the hammer was also missing. A Colt hammer does NOT fit this gun (but the trigger does). You might find a replacement hammer, or just shoot it the way it is. As long as you only load five, and keep the chamber under the hammer empty, you can enjot the gun at the range. They do not hold up very well to the rigors of Cowboy Action Shooting.
