Somebody Please say something.... I am spending the summer in Susquehanna County and love that I can shoot at the local outdoor range for 15.00 a year. I cannot believe there is no where to shoot outdoor in Bucks County???
Is there a way to shoot targets on State Game lands and not break any of the state regulations? I would be happy in an abandoned quarry.

I'll tell you, I heard something about a free range in Bucks, but this was years ago and may now be closed. I remember hearing something about Peace Valley Park. But I could be completely off.

    Trying my Google-Fu now.

I'm going to redact my previous statement. There was one in the Lake Nockamixon area. That was closed 3 years ago.

    Check out Wicen's: http://www.wicenshootingrange.com/

Not free but a nice, well run outdoor range.

In the central/upper bux area there is paletown and ridge&Valley. Both are relatively cheap for membership fees. I was told that R&V is the place to be as there are some "problems" at paletown.

As for free ranges, the only one is above Allentown (i think) and it's not free anymore. You need to have a hunting license.

Oh and at $15 a day, Winces is NO Bargain....

So far it looks like Farmers in Quarryville is the closest option...

No, there are no free ranges in Bucks anymore. Nockamixon was closed about 6 years ago and isn't going to be reopened. We had our fight over that and lost. The closest SGL I know of is French Creek which was recently rebuilt and looks pretty good. But expect a crowd, particularly on weekends. Also expect some true idiots. Do yourself a big favor and find a club. Free isn't all it's cracked up to be when some people have no clue and aren't interested in getting one.
    When the SHTF......be the fan.
