MIRC is counter productive to what a forum is IMO.
Forums retain the information that is posted for others to search and learn from, MIRC not so much.

mIRC is just a client, a mediocre one at that. IRC is an excellent communications medium, though.

Mirc works well for me....& as IRC client its quite good....all chat rooms can be set up with very detailed preferences.. lots of piracy & warez but nuttin too horrifying for the delicate at heart

I used mIRC long ago before I discovered better clients like Xchat and more recently, Irssi. My main beef with mIRC is that it's windows-only, and is shareware. Why bother when Xchat is free and cross-platform?
Anyway, if anyone is concerned about information retention, the administrator of the channel could simply do regular uploads of channel logs. It wouldn't be organized in any way other than chronologically, though.Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

I made this suggestion awhile back and it was shot down. Apparently in the past people could not act like adults so the chat was pulled.
