Default Want to get my ltcf in Philly.....

Hey guys I was wondering I have Florida, Utah, and Virginia non resident permits but I want to get a Pa one also but being a Philadelphia resident I am hearing that if you owe parking tickets they will reject you, back in the 90's I use to let my younger brother who was in college drive my car and he racked up quite a few parking tickets. Now I read some stuff on the net where people have said they applied and when they got rejected they just appealed it and went before L & I. Does that work?

Personally, if I got denied for parking tickets, I would sue the hell outta them

but that's just me. If they ask you if you have any, just tell them that's irrelevant to your application along with any other questions they ask.

No need for any interview, Q&A session, take pictures of your tattoos, police check card, signing any form or agreement outside the official state application form, etc.

Just sign and drop off the application with 20 dollars, say thank you and wait for a response within 45 days (not business).

That is what I would do. To each their own.

I figured parking tickets are not a qualifying factor, nor child support and so on.

There is a "character" clause in there that Philly likes to rape the use of....

You must be a person of bad character and unfit to carry a firearm concealed if you get parking tickets... lmao

They are just using it as an excuse to collect unpaid revenue. Scumbags

I'm surprised they don't try and run your credit report or make you take a physical exam

lol I have been carrying with my non resident permits for the past year or so but I figured I would just get the Pa permit because of some of the stuff about people with non resident permits being arrested in Philly, Mayor Squigwert is such a prick.

Maybe it's just me, but if there are a bunch of unpaid parking tickets tied to your car's registration, I wouldn't want that hanging over me, regardless of applying for a LTCF or not.

I'd get your bro to give you the money to pay them and clear your "record"

Unless he wants to be a hero and have the tickets to have standing to fight the battle. If so, I wish you the best and we all hope you win. If not we understand too.

I'd still check it out. The parking authority can be a pain (they cross train with the permit unit), but they are very efficient when they get around to enforcement. They will boot you, then tow you away. Fees and fines are added to the outstandiing tickets. Payable in cash if you want your car back.

As for the LTCF, don't worry about the appeal process until you are denied.
