Re: Open Carry in Bucks County
I used to open carry in the city of Philadelphia - sort of - back in the mid 90s. I had my LCTF, and I was teaching a class way down deepintheharta, between the Spectrum and City Hall, and several blocks off of Broad St. I was the only one of my ethnic group for blocks and blocks, and a big white guy in a big white truck really stood out in the area I had to go. I used to get very nasty looks form the local denizens as I navigated my truck through the trash and junkers parked on the narrow streets.
I took to keeping my Ruger 9mm auto on the seat in plain sight, right by my right hand. I figured anyone who approached the truck would see it and leave me alone. If they didn't, it was easy enough to show it to them. No one ever bothered me, although I am not sure anyone got close enough to see my piece. But then again, I was never arrested either.

I've heard Doylestown is no different than philly.
Sure open carry is perfectly legal and sure you will be arrested for BS disorderly conduct charges if you try. Any truth to that?
I don't get out of the city much (one reason I live here is so I don't have to drive all over creation -- my range is a few blocks from my house -- not as good as having it in the back yard but not bad either) but wish you all the best.

Re: Open Carry in Bucks County
Havent run into any LEO in doylestown while OC'ing. however I have a friend who was CC'ing in a bar and his T-shirt rode up causing his pistol to become exposed. P.D. was called, they called him outside confirmed he had his LTCF, talked with him for a bit (nothing threatening per my friend) and went about their business. I'm sure like alot of LEO there are a few that would try to get heavy handed...there is always a smalltown cop somewhere. I have been considering contacting the local P.D. chief to ensure his dept. is educated regarding OC, we'll see...maybe I'll do that.
