Beretta 92fs magazines
I'm buying a new Beretta 92fs that comes with 15-round magazines. Are 17-round magazines the new 92A1 uses fit it, and do they fit the same way the 15-rounders do?

Yes, they are interchangeable.

Re: Beretta 92fs magazines
stay away from the cheap eagle mags from cheaperthandirt and other places. i bought a few @ $6-7 a piece just to see how they were. 3 out of 6 were junk and caused stove pipes jams, rounds titled and stuck inside the mags. total junk not worth it to even keep as range mags. i ran them through a my 92FS and 92G both had tons of problems with the eagle mags. Now i only run Factory Beretta mags 10 and 15. this is the only gun that i had that was magazine picky. good luck on the purchase !

Re: Beretta 92fs magazines
I found some surplus mags at a gun show, 2/$18. They did not hold the slide open after the last round. Took them apart and lightly filed the angled part of the follower. Work like a dream now.

Re: Beretta 92fs magazines
A lot of the problems people have with Taurus semi autos boils down to exactly what you are talking about here. It is simply a mass production thing that if you are willing to put up with and correct, you can save a ton of money on ammo and expensive magazines. I have bought these cheap mags just to take the guts out and put in the factory mags and voila, a new factory mag at half the price. Mag followers are a prime suspect for hard to figure out failures.

Re: Beretta 92fs magazines
Yes 17 shot mags are compatible with the 92sf but watch out I've seen price hikes as high $49@ mag and the same name brand another seller for $29 for the 17 rounders.
The cheapest I've seen them were for $19 and they were sold out in seconds, I'd like to have at least 3.
