looking forward to this show since i'll be bringing a few "gun show virgins". anybody know of any good places to stay? i was thinking of renting a cabin in a state park but dont know of any.

The last Harrisburg show I went to, WAS THE LAST. Cost me over $10.00 just to get into the door. In this economy, REALLY? Then, the place was empty.......10 years ago they had 2,000 tables.....this past show was more like 500, including the beef jerky and jewelry tables. Aack!!

Harrisburg Show is now officially a "has-been" show, and York now rules in my opinion.

Not worth the time or gas.

does anybody have an m44 mosin that theyre trying to sell? i'll be at the show looking for one and maybe some ammo at this show. let me know what you guys have & how much. figured i'd rather buy from the little man than THE man.

Harrisburg used to be a good show but now it suffers from the times, bad economy and rise of the internet. Yes true in the past they could fill the hall completely with dealers but now it is very spacious and empty looking. Part of this is a combination of higher dealer prices/costs , higher fuel costs, parking fees that nick cant control, motel costs and customers spoiled by the internet. I stopped going for all these factors, why should i do a friday set up and motel for 2 days for just a SHOW & TELL. The internet is a wonderful place to shop but prices vary too much depending on demand . Customers qoute gunbroker prices but never seem to buy from there, how cheap do they want it. I dont know what nick can do to help the show but when he made a announcment one morning about dealers deducting the parking fee on a customers first purchase was about the most pathetic thing i ever heard him say, other then his sunday afternoon warnings about dealers packing up early when the hall is dead.

Sad to say, I'll be missing setting up at Harrisburg. It is unfortunitly scheduled the same weekend as the PGCA show in Tarentum. I can't be two places at once and my gun show stand-ins are otherwise occupied.

I've found this show to be pretty good over the years. Yes it has gotten smaller but this is happenng to most gun shows.

please keep us posted on the status of the show, just dont want to make the trip up there to find out that the show is canceled due to the local flooding
