Default New Glock or used Beretta?

Have a question to throw out to all of you. A while back I had to sell my guns and now am in the process of re-establishing a collection. Went to a local gun store and narrowed my choice to two guns...a new Glock 23 for $539.00 or a used Beretta px4 sub compact in .40 for $400.00. I cc primarily and also do quite a bit of range shooting as well? What do you think?

I'd definitely go with the Glock, given those two choices. The PX4 SC, just never felt quite right in my hand, and it's much easier for me to be accurate with the Glock 23.

Between the two, I'd say the Glock. I have a Glock 19 and love it. I've never owned the Beretta PX4, but I've handled them a few times and I'm not crazy about them. They look funny, the magazines are insanely expensive and hard to find, and I hate the folding pinky extension on the magazine baseplate.

    I would buy the Beretta.

Myself, I'd go with the Glock. Never really cared for the Berettas.

Why don't you just go for a Taurus .38?

That was my first gun...ended up trading it in on a Glock 27. Never really liked the 27 much. Even with the scherer extenders it never really felt right. The Glock 23 gen 4 really feels good in my hand and so does the Beretta. Just thought that the Glock would give me more options such as shooting .357 sig or interchanging barrels with a 9mm.

Right, there is way more aftermarket support for Glocks than the Beretta, also you can get OEM extended magazines for the Glock (33 rounds for 9mm, not sure how many in .40). Holster selection will be much MUCH better with the Glock, etc.

Glock. The only correct answer to your question. Now, if you were asking about Berretta shotguns, well, I fancy them but I wouldn't buy a Beretta Pistol with free money.
