    Good job lady.

Another reason to laugh when I see the internet ad saying "9MM isn't protection, learn what firearm instructors won't tell you!" or something like that... One shot with a .22? Gotta ask that lady if she's lucky or good!

OK. The title of this thread doesn't exactly comply with the rules set forth for posting in the News section, but I also don't feel that the title of the story "fits" with what happened either, so we'll leave it be.

Unless there's more to the story (and there usually is), there was nothing I read that indicated he intended to "rape" her.

Don't get me wrong, I won't lose any sleep over one less criminal in the world, but it reads to me like they were "playing up" her story to justify her actions. Again, I have no issue, with her actions, as I think that she did the world a favor.

Honestly don't understand why EVERY woman would not want to be armed.

I like the headline "DEAD motel robber was going to rape clerk".
Makes him sound like a zombie.

Nice shooting, you got 'im. More women should carry guns.

wording like this drives me nuts, I know what they were probably trying to say, but it has undertones of they are angry she defended herself and she should have somehow just called the police.

I wouldnt ever feel outgunned with only a 22lr even as just a pistol and not a rifle.
