Default Israeli Hi Power date range...

Anyone have a definitive list or link you can provide that can date when a Israeli Hi Power was made using the serial number? If so, I'd appreciate the help.

    Thanks.

Some folks as I recall from a HP website seem to think these guns may even have an alternate S/N system? Figured this might be a challenge, and need to make sure so this potential C&R acquisition, really is C&R so that it can be put on my 03 book.

No Browning Hi Powers were made until 1935 and Israel did not even exist before 1946, won't those preclude a C&R transfer?

Well, unless there is something I am missing, any BHP/P-35 made at least 50 years ago would meet the C&R age standard. As an update, unfortunately the Israeli HP I'm getting was made in 1987 (S/N 245PR0xxxx), so it's an 01 transfer.

For those interested, check out this super early Israeli utilized P-35 (S/N 28xx est 1935-1937).
