I am thinking about going to this show but have never been. Is it worth going or is it mostly jerky, toys and knives?
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

I am also researching this show, by running searches of the forum posts. What I've read so far that seems relevant is that this show is now being operated by Eagle and that this operator is said to be a preferred one. I plan to go.

A lot of that. Also a decent amount of dealers, most of which who will not make a deal. Unless that deal involves you paying MSRP.

I work off the Oaks exit of 422, a 2 minute drive to the show. If it wasn't so close, I probably wouldn't go.

    "number", not "amount" of dealers.

This show absolutely sucks. Do not go, especially if they want money to get in. I went ONCE. I tried to talk my buddy out of going one time. He went anyway. ONCE.

This is the worst gun show I have ever been to.

I am planning to go on Sunday.

I attended the last Oaks show and it wasn't too bad.

There were some deals around, but most vendors were hovering around msrp... and wouldn't budge.

I am looking to unload a bunch of stuff for sale/trade... so lets see what happens.

Yeah when it was Nick's show it sucked. Joel and Eagle Arms took it over this year and it is now as large, if not larger than VF.

The show at Oaks is very good now since Eagle Arms took over. Lots of vendors. Yes there are a fair share of junk dealers but mostly good quality firearms and accessory dealers. Many of whom are willing to "deal" a bit. As long as "deal" means something reasonable and not wholesale or less. We don't work for free either.

I'll be set up there with some good deals on some Colt LE rifles and lots of handguns. I also have a few high-end pre-ban military rifles. This show is so good I'm missing a kick-ass re-enactment to set up there. See you there I hope.

I like it now nice mix of stuff but not the junk stuff you won't be interested in. I didn't see any laptops or shammys last time I went.
