    Calguns.net uses it also.

I do think Mr. Ritchey is trying to consolidate the various feedbacks into ONE THREAD PER PERSON. Once THAT'S accomplished, your idea might be feasible.

If the users would follow the instructions, consolidation wouldn't be necessary. No matter how simple you make things, there will be those who are too dumb or too lazy to do it the "right" way.

yes , sometimes people are stupid and lazy, but other times its the "system" that sucks.

In this case we have both.

Go ahead, do a search for a feedback on a user......
esp one with a (.) in there name like me that people always get as ShawnL

The threads in the Feedback forum (as with any forum) can be sorted alphabetically. This would allow one to find any username relatively easily, even if it is too short to use the search feature, or if it contains special characters. That's how I sort it when I'm looking for duplicates to merge.

    I didnt know that

And I dont think Im stupid or lazy....................

so, Im left with the impression that the system requires more work or knowledge than what its worth to those using it and so gets used poorly.

There are simpler and better systems which serve the users better (i-trader), why wouldnt we want to use a better system ?

My understanding is that Dan doesn't want to fool with any add-ons or plug-ins to the forum software, because the likelihood of trouble increases as new forum software updates roll out, and may not play nice with all of the existing 'extras'.

Since important stuff (that requires an admin, and often, specifically Dan) already gets put off WAY too long, I think it's a smart decision to not bring in something new that will likely need additional attention, knowing that such attention is already at a severe deficit.

Awesome, I'm getting an education on the fly... Thanks for the info.

PS: I knew there had to be a way I just never asked. (Yes I fall under the dummy category mentioned above )

    Thanks again.
