Id tell them any further correspondence should be in writing and they need to be careful about harassing you. If they contend that you have broken the law, then they should contact the proper LEO and stop harassing you. Document every phone call.

Thats exactly my point, either would have sufficed, and suffice it did when the clerk documented it on the 4473. They dont need the photocopies nor do they need to say that they will call the atf!

And don't worry about the feds. In the highly unlikely event that you are contacted, you have other utility bills since then to show them to prove residency, or if need be, you can contact the utility for copies. The utility will probably tell you how to access the copies on line.

But DO NOT worry about the W-M dipshits. There is no federal law to which they allude. As stated above, it's THEIR problem. At the time you bought the gun, W-M was given an Approval Number by the PA Instant Check System. The PA State Police said at that time you were good to go, and you still are. Fuggedaboudit.

And this is why (among other reasons) I won't buy guns at China-mart. To actually expect their minimum wage employees (slaves might be more accurate) to understand something as important as a 4473 and the associated regulations regarding firearms sales is too much to ask.

They(walmart) are the ones that will get introuble if something on the forms is filled out wrong, so you should have offered to call and report it yourself.
