Default Hi capacity 1911 9mm? Is there such ?

I would like to buy 1911 but low mag capacity is deal breaker for me. Is there 1911 with 14 or so rounds in 9mm. I know of 1911 GI with 14 round mag. But to my understanding its made only in .45 cal. Any suggestions?

P.S. all my guns are 9mm and would like to keep that way, its cheaper to shoot.

STI and Caspian makes a high-cap gun/receiver that can be used for 9mm.

There is also a Filipino company that makes or used to make a hi-cap 9mm. They also had it in 38 Super and 9x21 IMI.

The last time I looked Para-Ordinance was still making 18rd 1911 style guns.
Using the style because the purists claim they are not true 1911's. We have a Para. LDA 18 round 9mm and shoot it as a falling plate gun. The only problem we can see is the cost.

Buyer beware, double stack 1911's are FAT and lose most of the magnificent ergonomics that make the 1911 so legendary.

I had a Para Ordnance P12.45 once upon a time. It was like gripping a 2x4.

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

The only other thing I can think of is a 9mm NightHawk with the FLX upgrade.

To the OP, I have had 2 of the Rock Island guns in .45, both were well made for the price and worked just fine, I would assume that the same would be true for the 9mm's, but 9mm in a .45 style gun has always been a crapshoot.

I would repeat the caution, that before buying, hold it in your hand first. Doublestack 1911's feel nothing like a single stack does, the ergonomics are greatly lessened for those that lack large hands.
