Checking a firearm at Leb.Co. Courthouse
Does anyone know which entrance I should use (or, which would be the most convenient to use) at the Lebanon County Courthouse to check in a firearm? It's been a while since I've driven past, but IIRC, there are at least two entrances on 8th street, and perhaps others that I have not noticed.

The "main" entrance is on the west side of the courthouse, at the north end.

Re: Checking a firearm at Leb.Co. Courthouse
OK, That's the one I used when I applied for my LTCF. (Haven't as much as driven past since.) At the time I hadn't taken the time to look around for the signs.
Thanks for the tip.

Re: Checking a firearm at Leb.Co. Courthouse
The last time I was there (3 weeks ago to accompany my fiance there for a Domestics hearing), the gun lockers were just inside the doors marked "Employee Entrance Only." This was on the back side of the building. I'm not sure if they have any lockers on the 8th Street side, and I'm not sure if civilians are allowed to use those gun lockers, as I didn't ask.

Re: Checking a firearm at Leb.Co. Courthouse
Just went in for a fence permit today, and indeed, the main entrance on 8th street (Northern-most door on the Western face of the bldg.) is where a civvy can check his firearms. There is no special room or anything. There is a cabinet behind the desk where the metal detector is. This cabinet has a couple tiny lockers in it. Just tell the lady at the metal detector that you must check a firearm, and she will hand you a numbered key, corresponding to the numbered lockers. You get to keep the key while inside the building.
Rather painless. No snide comments about civvies carrying weapons (although the lady seemed mildly unpleasant, but I suspect that's just the way she is normally).

I'm gonna be at Lebanon County Courthouse in a few weeks for a thing and stuff, can anyone tell me if this is still the case for checking a CCP please and if there is any hassle behind it like Northampton?
