Kimber Solo ?

What's going on with Kimber? I can't find a Solo anywhere. On-line everyone says there out of stock, some local shops haven't even seen one yet. I have heard they were having problems with them. Have they pulled them all.
Anyone know?

it,s the same old story, small manufacturer high demand. if you want to see one and handle it check trops gun shop in e-town. they had one on display, and for customers to handle. they are taking orders but i can only guess at the wait. considering how many models kimber has and their production capabilities it,s a wonder you can find what you want at all.

I called my local gunshop asking about the Kimber solos I want to say about a month or two ago, and they said they had sold 7 or 8 already and that they were expecting another shipment in a week or two. So I am guessing some dealers have them and others do not. I do know they are out there though. Just call around. I had a few gun shop tell me they arent even in production yet, while others said they have already sold a few...so who knows but they are definitely out there.

I played with one at the shop by my house and the gun felt really nice. Loved the feel of the trigger. If I had the extra coin I would pick one up.

I put in deposits on the SS Solo at two different gun shops last April and am still waiting for delivery. I am hoping it won't be too much longer but have been told that the waiting list is now up to a year and a half long.

I've seen them at Targetmaster and French Creek Outfitters. If they checkered/stippled the front-strap, it'd be great for me, but it felt real slippery without. I think with a 9mm round coming out, it'd fly out of my hand.

Rumor is that a Kimber Solo CDP is coming out, with checkered front-strap, laser and night sights. List is like 1200 or something crazy. Personally, the Kahr CM9 fit in my hand much better, and didn't feel like it would slip out.

at the nra convention i saw the solo with crimson trace grips and also saw the same at crimson trace display. so kimber is going to offer that feature.

Have been told at two who's the line has been shut down until 2012. My hope is they improve their QA before making any more. Mine went back twice before Kimber replaced it. Some lucky person got the new one when I traded it in.
