My hot dogs might be held hostage by Commonwealth law
This is a story about Loma Linda Linkettes (veggie dogs) and the 7th Day Adventists.
Their PA bookstore is almost an hour away and I tried to find it when in the area by chance when I did not have specific directions or address with me. This weekend, a friend and I finally located it. We should have taken photographs but did not, check the address for an aerial image:
2359 Mountain Road
Hamburg, PA 19526-8745
The property is located immediately south of Mountain Road at this address. The are two larger structures. The one to the east is where my Loma Linda Linkettes are located. This structure is generally in the shape of an "L," upside-down with the map at a north-up orientation. The larger structure to the west, more complicated in shape, is...
A 7th Day Adventist school.
WTF! I don't think there is anybody here that can tell me for sure if I am allowed in the book store. I was crushed when we saw the layout of the property. Maybe I should check the lots and blocks? Perhaps the bookstore is on a different lot with different coporate ownership than the school. Even though they share parking and an obvious connecting footpath.

I'm sorry - what am I missing here? I'm thoroughly lost.

What does this have to do with concealed and open carry?

The best I can figure out is,
I think you are looking for the 7th Day Adventist's bookstore?
And it is located on the Blue mountain Academy School campus?
And you are wondering if that forbids cc/oc?
That's the best I can make out. Not too sure about the Loma Linda Linketts, except that the bookstore sells them?Μολὼν λαβέ

Re: My hot dogs might be held hostage by Commonwealth law
It is indeed located on the grounds of a Secondary Parochial School (Blue Mountain Academy).... and would fall under the 18 Pa.C.S. § 912 restrictions..... (including the disputed 'other lawful purpose' clause)....
Here's a website to purchase that VegeFood directly....

Re: My hot dogs might be held hostage by Commonwealth law
You guys...
It seems he wants to go to the Seventh Day Adventist Bookstore to purchase something he can't get locally.
There is a large SDA Academy right next door. The question, and the issue is, is the bookstore NEAR a school, or ON school property?
If it is NEAR, he is OK to go. Close, but OK. If it is ON school property, he would be prohibited by the PA statutes.
And I cannot find anything online that answers that question.Last edited by Curmudgeon; July 5th, 2011 at 01:48 PM.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Am I the only one thinking he gets what he deserves for eating veggie dogs?
