Michigan has had 'stand you ground' for a few years, North Carolina just passed it (Becomes active in December I think)

To the best of my knowledge the thirteen states that do not have any form
of "Castle Doctrine" would be----------
Oregon
California
Nevada
Arizona
New Mexico
Wisconsin
Iowa
North and South Dakota
Nebraska
Arkansas
Vermont
Virginia
I'm looking on older info , 2009 but it's all I have at hand.Good luck and safe trip Bro.All of the other states have some form of justifiable self defence doctrines in place but please, do a little research and know what you need to know.

Ohio and PA have no reciprocity in regards to concealed carry. Legally not allowed to carry.

Presumably you have a license recognized by Ohio (not an LTCF as clarion noted). Castle Doctrine is the least of your concerns. Ohio has a LOT of restrictions on carry, almost as bad as North Carolina. Places that serve alcohol are off limits and they are very specific about how you carry in a vehicle (until the end of September -- the governor signed the law lifting those restrictions yesterday, though you still won't be able to drink while carrying). They are reputed to be very strict about "must inform officer" -- if it's not the first thing out of your mouth you're likely to get hassled (at least) for it. www.handgunlaw.us has a good state-by-state compilation of carry laws.

As donm mentioned your PA LTCF permit is no good in ohio and IF you have "something" that is honored OHIO has lots more places you can't legally carry.
IF you want a really good source for Ohio and firearm laws / rights go here

All states have Castle Doctrine, but only 20-25 or so have the Stand Your Ground type provisions.

Also, recall that in another state, you are a foreigner who most likely had to use deadly force against one of their native citizens. Even the actual law might help but you are going to be fighting up hill in court (most likely) as your portrayal by the prosecution won't be nice.
IANAL but it (prejudicial jury) is something I would consider in scenarios in other states. It is you. You have all the weapons that you need. Now fight. --Sucker Punch
