Default Unknown wheel gun grip [Updated with Pic and Application]

So I bought this grip off of GB that was supposedly for a Dan Wesson Revolver. I like a dummy didn't ask for better pics. Well I got it in and it's not for a Dan wesson. It's a Hogue Laminate Camo combat grip. It's for a gun that has an exposed back strap in the grip. The back strap hole is .340" wide and runs almost the entire length of the grip save for the last half inch. It uses 1 screw through the bottom of the grip to secure it to a u shaped piece if metal with a cross pin The grip has 2 channels cut into it. The first is .250" nearest the trigger guard the second is .430 near the back of the grip and follows the contour of the grip all the way to the bottom. I would post some pics but my comp is down and stuck with just using the phone for now. I hoping one of y'all can help identify what this might fit. If the mods feel the need to move this to the gunshithing section please do. I'll try to get some pics of the grip up in a day or so. Thanks again for the input.

Sounds like an aftermarket for a S&W K or L frame.

It sounds like a standard Hogue custom wood grip. Naturally I cannot tell what revolver it fits, it could be for a standard S&W K, L, or N frame round or square butt or even a Ruger, Colt or Dan Wesson, since they are all made basically the same way.

Whats it matter? If it was listed to fit your DW (model 15 I assume) and it doesnt send it back. GB has mediators too.

Well besides the fact that I really dont feel like eating the shipping cost both ways or having to work out something with the seller I figured out if I could find out what it fits I'd just put it up in our classifieds and try to recover some of the money I already spent. I'm only in it for 27 bucks. Hell if I could sell it for 15 I'd be happy and someone would get a nice grip. If not I'll just drop it off at John Browns and Timmy use it for something.

Is there any markings at all on the top inside?

Only thing is the number 49 written in a permanent marker inside the grip near the top. From the links earlier posted I'm thinking its an S&W grip. I'm goin to run it over to JBA maybe later today to see if I can get it put on a gun he has. If I like the gun the grip fits I just might buy it. I wouldnt mind adding another wheel gun to the collection. He's got layaway why not.

Protect your $27 investment by purchasing a $500 handgun to go with it? Only seems prudent to me.
