came home from being out all day to a note from the police dept

on my front door, specifically from the "criminal investigation division pattern and violent gang crimes unit"

not a clue in the world as to what this is about i called them and setup a meeting to discuss this as he couldnt/wouldnt discuss it over the phone, i asked if i should be turning myself in for something he said just some questions that need answered, what specifically does this dept take care of?

If you have no clue why the police would be contacting you, why the hell would you call them back instead of calling a lawyer first? If they really need to get in touch with you urgently, they'll try again.

There is absolutely NO WAY I would show up alone to discuss some unknown matter that couldn't be discussed either over the phone, or somewhere else, and even then I would consult an attorney before moving forward.

times are hard, no lawyer $ the only thing i do illegal is drive fast. it was from lancaster county so i doubt it has to do with my distain of mcginn. i figure ill go talk to them and clear up whatever they incorrectly have me mixed up in

i don't like lawyers hate the answer of get a lawyer. only thing i like less are cops espescialy when they want me to come down to their house to answer questions.

In all seriousness, I would not volunteer to talk to them under such circumstances let alone ask if you should confess to something! Sounds like a fishing expedition.

I would probably speak with an attorney about the note though.....and not post anything else here until it is resolved.

So long as you are not a criminal, or part of a violent gang, I say embrace your law enforcement overlords... Preferably with donuts and coffee (Dunkin, Goddammit, not those day-olds from WaWa!)....

In short, stay the fuck away... If you are legally bound to "meet" with them (warrant) then get a lawyer to go with you, since they are unwilling to give you any info on what the hell this is all about...
