I do have an opinion, but not a definitive legal answer. I would recommend that you not inquire with your employer. They are likely to answer in their own interest rather than concede that you have expanded rights.
I do believe that the new language would allow you to both store a firearm in your vehicle, as well as carry (either open OR concealed) on the job. However, I would be very surprised to see your employer simply accept these behaviors, and believe you would have a long and expensive legal battle, which you have no guarantee of winning (even though the language seems crystal clear).
Since you're not violating any law, you may be further ahead to just keep a firearm in your vehicle whenever you wish, deep conceal if you want to carry while on the job, and be prepared to assert the change in the law if an unplanned discovery occurs at some point.Last edited by gnbrotz; June 23rd, 2011 at 04:50 PM.
