Default LOW LEFT!LOW LEFT! LOW LEFT!

i cant seem to get my M&P 9C to hit poa/poi. i have shot approx 250 rds. and it is low left every time off hand 7yds. if i shoot it from a rest it tightens up maybe half the spread but still not where i think it should be especially from a rest. Al ammo is 115gr. wwb,seillor/bellot,corbon powerball, hornaday cd. BTW full size is pretty dead nuts at this range w/same selection of ammo. thanks ahead of time for the "GOOD CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM"

Are you familiar with this target?

Sounds like your jerking, or tightening the fingers too much at the last second!

Agreed with War Wagon. With my P22 I am dead center consistently. However, with my new M&P C40 I am having the same issue as yourself. With absolute concentration on what I am doing I can put them in the center, but for me it just going to take practice.

I am familiar with the jerking part. But i had my f/s and my 22a with today and was dead nuts with both of them. 9c in hand and it was like i was literally"jerking it". Maybe it is a mental thing or just not used to it.????? just frustrated

I can tear up a target lower left as well... make sure you PUSH the trigger to the rear straight back.

Not a problem. I am new to this stuff, but I think for me it is a mental thing. Your heads knows your gonna have some recoil and I personally think it needs to be corrected in your head by practice and becoming more comfortable with the new more powerful weapon.

Try shooting with your offhand. If it's a psychological shooting issue like flinching, it probably won't follow you to your left hand.

OP Do you have small hands? Maybe that could be causing inaccurate triggering? I have a friend who's hand is just slightly too small for his gun and he shoots that way.....

You can throw that chart in the toilet, it's not going to help you stop doing something which you don't know that you're doing. If it did, every time you told a new shooter "stop jerking/heeling/etc" the gun, they'd instantly be better shooters. Doesn't work that way.

Run some ball and dummy drills, watch your sights like a hawk, and SLOW down your trigger finger.

Be as slow and gentle as possible on the trigger, move it straight back, 1 mm at a time.

Trigger control isn't an easy skill to learn. Without the guidance of an experienced shooter/instructor, you're going to struggle a LOT more than necessary.

I would strongly recommend getting into an accuracy intensive intro class, something like one of these:
    http://www.firearmstrainingandtactic...read.php?t=958
    http://www.firearmstrainingandtactic...ead.php?t=1371
    http://www.firearmstrainingandtactic...ead.php?t=1288

They will be full of drills to take home and practice, along with professional instruction, diagnostics, and corrections to your current technique.

If I had taken one of these classes earlier in my shooting, I would have saved a lot of ammo and frustration trying to teach some of this stuff to myself.
