Default Lake City XM855 @ Midway

Just an FYI. Midway has XM855 for $170/420. I reload, so I don't know if this is a good price for mil-spec ammo or not. It seems reasonable.

Seems like a good price, but they can kill you on shipping.

Rob @ ammoman.com has it for $179 shipping included.

If some of you dont have experience with this ammo, trust me its REALLY good stuff.

I buy either Lake City M855 or back when it was available I would buy the Israeli IMI M855 and they both shoot great.

I actually sight my AR's in using the M855 and all of my SHTF ammo is M855 loaded in mags.

That ammo is great, almost all I ever shoot. I get it from these guys along with some other stuff. Great guys to deal with and they have the same exact ammo way cheaper.

    $129 for 420

    Thats a damn good price.

But I wonder why that ammo is marked "marked not for duty use" ?

Hmm good point, I didn't notice that. Looks like these are rounds that didn't pass military specs.

    I usually buy this:

It's my understanding that all "x" marked ammo is military rejects. I shoot the 55gr and 62gr all the time and NEVER had any problems with it. Believe the other one is xm193.
