Re: new to fourm
Was out at Scotia yesterday myself. I'm glad that they've finally done the annual leveling of the road, but the rest of the place is still pretty much a mess. I like to blame the folks who go out there, shoot wildly at the berm and leave their brass lying everywhere.
If you're ever out there and see a thin young-looking guy with a little kid and a table full of guns, stop by and say hi."Cave Johnson. We're done here."

Re: new to fourm
Welcome aboard quint_327, Scotia can be good or bad depending on who is out there. The main ranges are pretty good (if/when you can get to them). The Auxiliary range can be a mess because people can be pretty stupid at times. We have had get togethers out there several times now and it usually attracts a good dozen or PAFOAers from around the area.
For really long distance shooting, check out the Mifflin County Sportsmans Club, they have ranges out to 1000 yds IIRC and not much money to join.
BTW, I grew up in Boalsburg, up near the old school.Ron USAF Ret E-8 FFL01/SOT3 NRA Benefactor Member

Re: new to fourm
The prices being paid for scrap metals-especially brass, copper and alumnium would make it worth your time to just scoop up those .22 shells and throw them in a bucket. A 5 gallon bucket full might get you upwards to a $100!!
Scrap prices are extremly high now!

The best club is Outdoor Sportsmans Club, very nice facility but a little more expensive than most in the area. Advantage: Nearby.
Liberty Township Sportsmans Association, near Bald Eagle State Park.
East End Blue Rock Sportsmans, Milroy, only $10 membership.
Spring Mills Fish and Game, not that far away and not expensive. $20
