    Default Lake Wallenpaupack carry

This may seem a little odd, but are you allowed to OC or CC whilst on Lake Wallenpaupack? I know that it's a privately owned lake (PPL) and law enforcement is handled by PA Fish and Boat.

I'm headed up there on Thursday to get the boat in the water and wasn't sure what is allowed and what is verboten.

I live on the lake during the week. I OC/CC (weather dependent) all the time on the lake and at surrounding businesses. Can't say anyone has ever actually noticed. I've never had a single comment.

Thanks for the reply. I have been going up there for all my life and since now I'm carrying more I was concerned with the rules. Good to know.

Will be cruising the lake tomorrow. Look for the red and white Harris pontoon boat.

Not to sure about PPL's policy or Fish Commission's rules but if you use one of the campgrounds to launch your boat, you might have problems.

    http://www.ledgedalerecarea.com/Rules-Regulations.html

Not sure if any of the people that run the campgrounds will give you a problem but it does say in their rules that firearms are not allowed.

Let us know what you decide.

In the link you provided it says no firearms under the camping rules. No such prohibition is listed in the boating rules.

The link also calls the lake "public state waters" if so, PPL or Fish Commission don't have shit to do with it as the UFA governs.

Anecdotal only. I used to spend a lot of time at my buddy's house on the river right above the lake. I would open carry on the lake, wherever we were hiking or fishing or when we went into Hawley, Hamlin or Ledgedale for whatever reason. I can tell you that I saw not one single person even give me a glance much less a look of any sort.

Wish I could live up there.
