Richmond, Va.
is proud to announce a special class....
The Utah Concealed Firearm Permit class!
Class Date: Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 9:00am to 3:00pm
Class Location: The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, located at 16 Glenmaura National Boulevard, Moosic, Pa. 18507
Seating is limited to 35 for this class.
A Utah non-resident concealed firearm permit is one of the most widely recognized carry permits in the United States. Currently, this permit is valid in 30 states across the U.S. This 6 hour class meets the Utah requirement to apply for this highly sought after permit. This class is classroom lecture only and there is no shooting requirement or range time required to obtain this permit. The only way to apply for the Utah permit is by taking this class, taught by a Utah certified instructor. Utah does not accept any other form of training towards applying for the permit.
The cost of the class is $85.00. A student manual will be provided. Proactive Shooters will also supply the necessary fingerprint card (prints may be obtained after the class at your local law enforcement agency).
You must register and pay in advance to reserve a seat in this class. Registration can be conducted online by visiting our website link -

Thanks for the early post. I'm registered. You gave me the amount of notice I needed to decide if I wanted to do it and learn more about the process. I'll be travelling to VA fairly often, so I appreciate the free VA-NR permit.

Thank you for registering.
We're happy to provide the extra certificates for the Virginia permit. Some other companies charge $25-$75 to issue a separate certificate but I don't feel that is right.
Just in case you didn't know, the Va. non-resident permit is $100 for a 5 year permit. If you (or anyone else) would like, I can bring some of those application packets with me. Just shoot me a pm with your name and I'll put one aside for you and bring it with me.

Re: Utah Concealed Firearm Permit class - Moosic, Pa. (Scranton area)
What is the application process for the Utah permit once we have this class completed? We need to get finger printed, then what? Is there documentation or instruction provided to apply for the permit? It is my understanding that there is a section of the application that needs to be completed by the instructor. Will we get our application with section completed as part of the course?
I am very interested and I know some others who may be as well.Last edited by Brudog; July 15th, 2011 at 12:31 AM.
