Traveling to Philidelphia
Hello all. I am new to this site and live in Denver Colorado. I was looking for information or advice from those of you who reside in Philadelphia. I have a CCW permit here in Colorado and am traveling to Philadelphia to visit the parents with my Wife and 3 month old. Needless to say Philadelphia has a rough reputation and I intended to carry while there. Any and all help is welcome. Thank you.

Re: Traveling to Philidelphia
Stay concealed.
Do NOT proactively inform Phila P.D. that you are carrying, should you be accosted - er- I mean, detained, -er- I mean... Well, just keep that info private unless asked point-blank...
I wouldn't expect the random PPD officer to know jack shit about the concept of a reciprocity agreement, let alone be current on which states are honored in Philly (Yes, I said Philly instead of PA, b/c the PPD is really convinced that they should and do have their own set of rules, separate from the rest of the commonwealth of PA).
Stay concealed and out of the usual off-limits places (see sticky at the top), and you will be fine....
Enjoy your stay in PA!
Regards,
Bones

Re: Traveling to Philidelphia
Unless you want to be subject to unlawful and overburdenous requirements for an LTCF which you won't even receive the same day, DO NOT APPLY IN PHILADELPHIA! As a nonresident, you have a choice of county for application.
Can anyone give this traveling foreigner a hand and suggest counties near Philly that will get him in and out in 15 minutes, based on recent experience?
