Older posts

I was looking thru my older posts and it seems that they only go back 500 posts... is this correct?

Are posts older than this gone forever?

ETA: If I have a post older than my 500 bookmarked, will the link still work?

the view listing limitation is 500 posts, yeah, the older posts are still there.

as per the second question... you asked it instead of trying it? srsly?

YES, its not a database limitation, its a search "results" limitation.

I'm gonna go take my headache meds now

You can use the "Find posts from" and "Sort results by" options to get more posts also. Sorting in ascending order will give your first 500 posts, and you can manipulate the dates (it only lets you go as far as "A Year ago" "and older/newer" though)

this is true, however a quick search off your user name doesn't give you the advanced search options... you gotta dig to go way back

by the way.. the whole problem is Gnbrotz fault, this all goes back to him Rotzing the forum.
