Your gonna wanna check out Ace Sporting Goods in Washington, PA. A short trip south, but a very nice shop IMO. Never had a bad experience there yet.

I too have had a horrible experience at Anthony Arms and will never set foot in the place again.
However, the gun smith was a nice guy and helpful.
I really cannot understand how a shop with such a poor reputation stays in business.
Every gun enthusiast that I have met in Pittsburgh has nothing but bad things to say about the place."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

I've never heard anything good about them. However they are the only range that in the Pittsburgh area you can rent guns at, that I know of.
I've also heard the family owns a ton of various businesses in the pittsburgh area so they have the cash flow to run a bad business.

For a brick & mortar SHOP, ACE is definitely the best, although I've never found THEIR customer service to be that great. On the other hand, I get treated WELL at Anthony's, even though their prices are high on a lot of things ($30 PMags...). Go figure?
Pfrogners, down Toll Rd. 43, first exit past I-70, also has a NICE shop, and excellent customer service!

I prefer Federal Firearms in Collier Township. Their prices are pretty good (and you can buy online through the Gun Genie) and service is excellent. It's definitely my shop of choice - yes even before Ace.
