Go to Kings Shooters supply, Betterbullets.com. Nicer people and better prices. I try not to deal with the attitude factory over there at TM. they have a credit price and a cash price. If you feel like walking around with $500 dollars in your pocket fine. I use a credit card for all of my purchases, you get buyer protection and dont have to worry about bullshit from shop keepers. I think the credit prices should be the same for the cash price. I bought a box of .5.56 for 75$ and it went onto my credit card as $79 then sales tax on top of that. If they list a price that price should be the same for credit and cash.
I saw one post in the Targetmaster thread where they advertised a stripped lower for $115 out he door but they still charged the transfer fee and sales taxes and some other BS charges Out the door means thats what you pay out of your pocket and out the door.

Seriously, read the Target master thread first.

Expect to pay out the ass, unless someone messed up and marked something incorrectly...

FWIW, my idea of a fair price on a very clean used G19 would be around $400 or so...

YMMV, but I second the suggestion of reading the existing thread on that place before overpaying...

    Regards,

    Bones

a minor tibit of info on credit card prices to the uninitiated. companies that use credit cards have to pay a % fee to the banking co. they are using. the % can vary by card and bank. considering the competition on pricing it's only right to pass it on. would you like to loose 3 or more % on your sales? if you find a company selling any type of product not doing this you can figure it is already built into the price you are paying and the cash customers are'nt getting a break. a clean basic used glock in the shop usually go between 4 and 4 1/2.

Businesses are not supposed to be passing the service charge of them accepting the card along to the customer. There is a law on the books for it and if they get caught, the CC company can pull their service and they can also be charged.

Unfortunately, the idiots that wrote the particular law fucked things up like they always do and allowed an out for the unscrupulous businesses. They cannot say they're charging a CC fee, they can say they're giving a discount for cash.

    Stupid idiots in government.

    Statement from the Merchant Council.

    http://www.merchantcouncil.org/merch...e-customer.php

I do not have the actual law citation right now, I did research on this several years ago. There was a lawsuit that started from gas stations charging extra fees for paying with a CC with gas. That's when the whole "discount for cash" thing started.

It might even date back to 1982 in some quick googling I did during this post.

I went to Targetmaster about 2 months ago w/ a friend.

My buddy just had to have a S&W snubbie.

Me buddy sees the Ruger SP line and wants to compare it to a comparable S&W.

Sales-Dude whips out some sort of custom shop S&W to compare to a stock Ruger.

I requested to Sales-Dude for a similar model by S&W ... same barrel size, frame material, caliber, etc ... for comparison.

Sales-Dude claimed Targetmaster was out of stock S&W revolvers to compare.

We got the 'This is the only one left' routine ...
Yeah, ultra deluxe custom shop 3x the price (literally) of a Ruger revolver is the only one left. Yeah, right.

Oh, did I mention we went there on some sort of special S&W day where the factory rep was going to be there and some impressive discount was to be given across the board on S&W merchandise.

Come to find out, this impressive discount didn't apply (of course) to S&W custom shop firearms.

Yeah, and the next counter up was loaded with S&W stock revolvers.

I recommended to my buddy to knock the price down on the Ruger.

If Targetmaster agrees .. buy it.

Believe it or not, he bought the Ruger that day with different grips and a holster for less than 'sticker' price.

Needless to say, I'm still on the fence with Targetmaster.
