"Standard" paperwork could be a Form 1 or a Form 4. And if you buy an AOW then the Form 1 is $5.
I was pretty sure that the Form 1 for an AOW is a $200 manufacture tax, and the Form 4 is the $5 transfer.

You are of course correct, I'll go back and fix that. A Form 1 is always $200, a Form 4 is $200 except for an AOW. That's why I had an SOT put a front grip on an AR pistol and make it an AOW, then he transferred it to me for $5, saving $195 (less his fee).
BTW, an AR-15 AOW pistol sucks, it's not accurate or user-friendly. I didn't keep it, but at least I got into it as cost-effectively as possible.

So i take it as fun?
thanks for the info
i got to start saving!
