Default Want to start carrying but need opinions on method.

I want to start cc daily but have a few questions. I have read a lot of threads and here are my concerns.
    1. I need to tuck in my shirt. I wear almost the same outfit daily, loose fitting docker type pants, button down shirt tucked in or in the summer golf shirt tucked in.

    2. My current choices for guns are: s&w j frame 38 with ct laser grips (i currently carry in a pocket holster), xd9 (4"), springfield 1911 loaded. I am not against buying another gun.

    3. I like the .38 but the pocket holster while it works I would rather a more solid attachment point. I amthinking of a crossbreed supertuck but the width of the .38 concerns me a little. Anybody use a supertuck with a j frame? I may end up getting a single stack 9mm for the supertuck. any other options i am missing? I dont want ankle or shoulder mount.

I use the Blade-Tech Ultimate Concealment Holster , I have one for my Ruger SP101, my Kahr CW9 and one for the Springfield XD 9sc, all conceal very well. Each holster is custom fit for the type of gun it will carry.

Here a few photo's of the holster using my SP101 as well as the Kahr CW9.

For a big boy, you seem to conceal pretty well.

Thanks for the heads up about that holster.

There are occasions where I have to wear a suit and tie and I always had to go unarmed because my short has to be tucked in.

Im going to have to get one of those.
In skinny and tall, so hopefully a Sig or Glock is concealable with one of those holsters too.

Is that at all uncomfortable ? I have both types of holsters but have always worn the belt holster because I'm not sure if I'd like to have the gun pushing into my skin like that(I'm a little big in the middle too). Not only that but my gun's a little bigger,it's a M&P full size

Check out the the Walther PPS in 9mm. It's designed to be carried.

Unfortunately, given my frame and wardrobe, concealment with this firearm outside of winter is a little hard so I OC in the summer months.

If OC'ing makes me a social hand grenade though, a Ruger LCP slips nicely into my pocket with a Mika pocket holster.

Either way, you are now on the road to owning many firearms and many different carrying options.

    Enjoy!

If you go with a single stack 9mm I recommend the Walther PPS. It conceals very well and is a great gun for the money. For holsters I would go with Tucker leather tuckable holsters or K&D used to make a holster that was tuckable and OWB called the defender but I think they recently discontinued production.

i'd go for a single stack auto personally. this is kinda where i'm at now. i mostly carry my xd .40 sc in a cross breed super tuck but some times it still prints bad. not that i really care that much but i feel if i'm gonna conceal it should be just that. but i'm torn 4 ways on what kinda gun to get next any way.

Velcrove. Right to the side of the slide and your pants. Makes it easier to draw. (j.k)

I buy my shirts one size too big so I can hide the gun better.

Not at all, now, it was a little at first, but I carry everyday and I've gotten used to it.

I say just get a Supertuck or similar holster for the xd, I conceal a Full Size Glock most days under a tucked polo shirt......
Biggest thing is to pull the shirt out of your pants a bit and let it hang to "blouse" the bottom edge some, mine hides pretty well

Glock Pistols.......So simple a Caveman could fix them!
